Formed in 1993, UM Association (Special Risks) Ltd (UMSR) commenced with 29 member institutions across the UK’s Higher Education sector.
Since then, we have subsequently increased our membership to include 110 leading universities and colleges seeking effective terrorism cover.
The threat of terrorism presents a unique challenge to the Higher Education sector and, as such, demands a unique set of responses.
As a mutual organisation that grew from the sector, we have an in-depth knowledge of the particular challenges faced by our members. This knowledge allows us to provide the most effective solutions tailored to the needs of our members, creating a robust alternative to traditional terrorism insurance.
